Why is my Merchant Name showing instead of my Account Name?
When setting up your account, it’s important to understand the difference between your merchant account name and your payment account name(s).
Your merchant account name is the main business name on NoFrixion.
It is the name that appears:
- On NoFrixion statements
- As the payer name on other banking portals
- On payment confirmations
- During Verification of Payee (VoP) checks
- In the top-right corner of the platform when logged in
This name will appear on all transactions, regardless of which payment account the funds are sent from.
What about my payment account names?
Payment accounts (for example, “Finance Team Expenses” or “VAT Account”) sit under your merchant account.
While you may have multiple payment accounts, their names:
- Do not appear on external bank statements
- Do not appear as the payer name on other banking portals
- Do not replace the merchant name on payment confirmations
They are used internally to organise and manage funds.
Verification of Payee (VoP)
By default, the merchant account name is used for Verification of Payee checks.
