Who does NoFrixion report to?

NoFrixion is authorised and supervised directly by the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI).

Our licence (C458163) is issued by the Central Bank of Ireland, which acts as the competent regulatory authority responsible for supervising our operations.

As part of this supervision, NoFrixion is subject to ongoing regulatory oversight, including:

  • Regular regulatory reporting
  • Safeguarding compliance requirements
  • Supervisory reviews and inspections
  • Ongoing engagement with the Central Bank

NoFrixion is home-authorised and supervised in Ireland. This means our licence is issued by the Central Bank of Ireland and we are not operating in Ireland under a passport from another EU jurisdiction.

While European legislation such as PSD2 and the Electronic Money Directive set the regulatory framework for payment institutions and electronic money institutions across the EU, day-to-day supervision and enforcement is carried out by the Central Bank of Ireland.
